Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

BollyWord Grid ("the App") is developed and published by 4spire, an independent Indian studio ("4spire", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It applies to the App on iOS and Android, to the web version at bollyword.in/play, and to this website.

1. No account, no personal details required

You can play BollyWord Grid without creating an account and without giving us your name, email address, phone number, or physical address. We never ask for this information to let you play.

2. Information the App collects

The App uses a small set of third-party services to keep your progress safe, show ads, and understand how the App is used. Through these services, the following is collected:

  • Cloud save data: your puzzle progress and Golden Ticket balance, linked to your Apple Game Center account (iOS) or Google Play Games account (Android), so your progress carries across devices.
  • Device and advertising identifiers: used by Google AdMob to deliver in-app ads.
  • Coarse, IP-based location: used only to route ads to the right region and to show the correct regional consent notice (e.g. for EEA/UK users) — never precise GPS location.
  • Gameplay and product interaction data: events such as a Scene or Daily Challenge being completed, collected through Firebase Analytics, to understand how people play.
  • Crash and performance diagnostics: anonymous crash logs and performance data used to fix bugs and improve stability.
  • Web version only: if you choose to sign in with Google at bollyword.in/play, your Google account ID and puzzle progress are stored in Google Firebase so you can continue on another browser. Signing in is optional. This website and the web version also use Google Analytics to measure visits and gameplay.

3. No cross-app tracking

BollyWord Grid does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and never will:

  • On iOS, the App never shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and never requests, reads, or transmits your Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
  • All ads are requested in non-personalized mode (npa=1) — ad targeting is contextual, not based on a profile built from your activity elsewhere.
  • Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork is used only to measure whether an ad campaign led to an install, without identifying individual users.

4. Third-party services we use

  • Google AdMob — serves in-app ads, in non-personalized mode.
  • Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics — gameplay, app-usage and website analytics.
  • Firebase Crashlytics — crash and stability reports.
  • Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore — optional Google sign-in and cloud saves on the web version.
  • Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — presents the consent notice required for users in the EEA/UK before any ads are shown.
  • Apple Game Center and Google Play Games — cloud saves and, if you choose to use them, leaderboards and achievements.

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy. We only enable the minimum data flow each needs to do its job — for example, ad delivery and measurement, not personal profiling.

5. Data sharing

We don't sell your data. Limited data is shared with the service providers above strictly so they can perform the function they're used for (serving ads, measuring app performance, storing cloud saves). We don't share data with anyone else.

6. Your choices

  • If you're in the EEA or UK, you can change your ad-consent choice at any time from the App's Settings screen ("Consent & Privacy Options").
  • You can request deletion of your analytics and cloud-save data by contacting us (see Section 9) or by disconnecting Game Center or Google Play Games for the App in your device settings.
  • You can control ad personalization more broadly through your device's own privacy settings (e.g. "Limit Ad Tracking" equivalents on iOS/Android).

7. Children's privacy

BollyWord Grid is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will remove it.

8. Security

We rely on the security practices of our infrastructure providers (Google Firebase, Apple Game Center, Google Play Games, Google AdMob) to protect data in transit and at rest. All traffic to these services is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).

9. Contact us

Questions about this policy or your data? Email the studio at hello@4spire.in. BollyWord Grid is published by 4spire Solutions (OPC) Private Limited, operating as 4spire (4spire.in).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do, and material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
